Haunted Michigan - Rev. Gerald S. Hunter   As far as we're concerned you just can't have too many books on Michigan ghosts.  In this book as well as in Rev. Hunter's following book, More Haunted Michigan, you can learn about a wide variety of present day hauntings throughout the state.

Encyclopedia of Haunted Places - Jeff Belanger and The World's Leading Paranormal Investigators    Another great reference book to add to your collection that offers supernatural tourists a guide to points of interest through the eyes of the ghost hunters.  Be sure to read Kathy's contributions!

Lighthouse Ghosts - N. Elizabeth and B. Roberts   Beautiful photographs and historical perspective give this book on haunted lighthouses added appeal.  The paranormal presence often felt in long deserted lighthouses is compelling - especially for those of us here in Michigan which is home to as many as 240 lighthouses.  Of those, a little over a hundred remain in operation.

True Hauntings - Spirits With a Purpose - Hazel M. Denning, Ph.D.  This is one of my favorites that I go back to again and again. Dr Denning relates her experiences with friendly and hostile spirits that she encounters in her work. She is knowledgeable and experienced. Her insight into why spirits remain earthbound rings true. Definitely a must have!  -Kathy

The Medium, the Mystic, and the Psychic
Lawrence LeShan

Lawrence LeShan is a research psychologist and the author of eleven books who lives in New York City. His purpose in writing this book was to once and for all debunk what he regarded as old wives' tales of telepathy, psychic healing, deathbed apparitions, and psychic predictions of the future. Instead, he found to his surprise and shock that the evidence for the existence of psychic abilities was so absolutely solid that no honest scientific rigor could refute it.
Newsweek calls this book "Amazing!" It is certainly a great book for those of us who are students of the paranormal.

Investigating the Paranormal
Tony Cornell

Tony Cornell has been a psychical researcher for the past 55 years. Mainly interested in apparitions, poltergeists and mediums, he is an active investigator of psychical phenomena and a frequent contributor to television and radio programs dealing with the paranormal. Mr. Cornell was initially highly skeptical but after years and many hundreds of investigations, he has found phenomena that cannot be explained by normal means. He still believes an open mind and a cautious approach, coupled with scientific methodology, are essential to the proper investigation of the paranormal.
