We checked in at Farnsworth
House where we left our bags and left to do a little exploring. We
made reservations for their ghost tour that evening at 9:15 as well
as for the ghost stories in the cellar at 8. We did try before
dinner to take a little nap as we were both feeling very tired by
this point. That was futile. Michelle felt something or someone poke
at her feet. I immediately felt my shirt sleeve being tugged gently.
If I felt a presence at Cashtown in our room there, what I felt here
were multiple energies - nothing ominous but persistent and strong.
They wanted our attention. That was obvious.
Michelle took some pictures while lying on the bed toward the bottom
of the bed. The pictures, snapped one right after the other, showed
an orb, but what was interesting was that there was a very fine
white mist that intensified in three of the frames and disappeared

Key West, Florida
Room 17
was occupied that night and it is just as well, because judging from
the activity in our room, I can only imagine what our night there
would have been like there. As it was, I didn’t sleep well. As soon
as I would drift off, I would be disturbed by dreams of walking the
halls of the second floor where I found a crying toddler with black
curly hair. She was pounding on the door of room 17. I had my
recorder running but I didn’t pick up any EVPs. Pictures of the room
also failed to show anything. I did, however, get orb shots in other
rooms of the mansion. There were 2 moving orbs in the downstairs
main parlor.............................

Our
friends across the hall – admittedly skeptical on the whole ghost
thing- apparently had a much more eventful night than we. Both were
awakened during the night by the sound of horses below.
One woman
swears to this day that she heard a baby crying close by. She still
refused to believe that the sounds were in any way paranormal and
said “I bet the hotel has the sounds piped in to convince guests
that the ghosts are real.” How ironic that we were looking for

Another beautiful medieval castle with a haunted reputation! How
lucky could we get? Bunratty Castle dates back to the 15th
Century and once belonged to the O’Brien clan. Today it is the
centerpiece of a beautiful Folk Park outlining Ireland’s history
with a recreated 19th Century town. While not one of
Ireland’s most haunted castles, it does have its share of spectral
tales.
Our visit to Bunratty was for its medieval banquet. We
didn’t come across any ghosts that night but we did have a wonderful
meal (no shortage of those it seems on the Emerald Isle) and
listened to some native music and song. Gazing up at the
mist-shrouded ramparts as we left late that night, it was hard to
imagine the mystical castle would be without a resident ghost or
two.
