"EVP" EVP is one of the most exciting areas of research in paranormal investigation today. It is believed to be the sounds found on all types of recording devices left by non-physical entities. Some of these sounds and "voices" may be the remnants of something from long ago or messages of love and comfort from loved ones who have passed on. These sounds aren't usually heard at the time they are recorded but are apparent upon playback. Many researchers are working in this area of communication with astounding results. If you are interested in learning more about EVP, please go to the AAEVP's web site at www.aaevp.com. There you will find a wealth of information about this fascinating subject. MPE members have collected some good examples that we will be including here. SAMPLES This 40 second clip was recorded by MPE member, Brad, at the 2007 Allegan Paranormal Conference. It was recorded after a class that was held in the Griswold Auditorium. At the beginning of the clip, the voices of Brad and others can be heard as they prepare to leave the auditorium. About 33 seconds into the clip a gruff voice can be heard saying "Hey!" Two seconds later, a second voice says "hey there." Right before the end of clip, a sing-song voice can be heard. It sounds as if he is singing a few words from a song. Brad uses a Sony, ICD-B500 Hear it here. During our investigation of the Regent Theater in Allegan, one of our investigators Trisha, did EVP sessions in different areas of the building. Here is one clip with two voices that she caught. The first sounds like a female voice and the second, male. Listen to this clip |
